Driving the Ram 1500 feels like so much fun. It is available in any of five powerful engines to make towing, hauling, and driving off the road easy. The 6.2L supercharged Hemi V8 engine is the most powerful and makes 702 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. This engine is only installed in the TRX model. This engine can tow up to 8,100 pounds.
Another engine is the 5.7L Hemi V8 matched with the Ram mild hybrid system (the eTorque). This engine makes 395 hp and offers the highest towing capacity of 12,750 pounds when well-equipped. This same engine is available without the eTorque system and makes the same hp, but tows up to 11,600 pounds.
Another engine option is the 3.6L Pentastar V6 that makes 305 hp and tows 7,730 pounds. Lastly, Ram offers a diesel engine, the 3.0L EcoDiesel V6 engine that makes 260 hp and can tow up to 12,560 pounds when well-equipped.
