Car Manufacturers continue to increase the safety features that come in their vehicles, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recognizes those that perform exceptionally well in their crash tests with the "Top Safety Pick Award." A new State Farm report from October 2016 says 80 percent of teens use their smartphones while driving. State Farm also found that American teens that choose to be preoccupied with their smartphones when they’re behind the wheel are also more likely to speed, drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or participate in other driving hazards like choosing not to wear a seatbelt.
